Color Spaces
Chroma Tune allows a user to select the best color space for the content being viewed. It characterizes, calibrates, and controls wide-color-gamut panels for precise image presentation. Chroma Tune corrects the oversaturation problem associated with wide-color-gamut panels.
Select sRGB, Adobe RGB, Rec. 709, or the native unrestricted gamut of a wide-color gamut panel with the simple click of a button.
Color Space Control – Users can select their desired color space to match the work they are performing.
- sRGB is for typical computer work
- Adobe RGB is used for designers for a color-critical workflow
- Rec. 709 is used for viewing HD video content
- NTSC 1953 is used for viewing SD television content in the US and other parts of the world
- PAL/SECAM is used to view SD television content in parts of Europe, Asia, and South America
- SMPTE-C is used to view motion picture content
App Sync™
Chroma Tune allows a specific color space to be assigned to any installed software application. Then, anytime that application is opened, the display automatically changes to the assigned color space. All of this can occur transparently to the user.
Installed software applications can be associated with a specific color space.
