How to License Pivot software.
Download the Pivot update by left clicking Pivot system tray icon
and selecting the Check for Update option:
The Pivot registration information can also be purchased from our website: http://estore.portrait.com/ or by selecting the Buy Now button on the Registration screen, or the Pivot system tray icon of the Pivot trial version.


Once the update or purchase has been completed you will be directed to a page with the License Number and Password needed to register the Pivot software. This information will also be sent to the Email address you entered in the previous steps.

To enter the License Number and Password left click on the Pivot system tray icon and select the Registration menu.

The Pivot Registration box will appear.

Enter the Registration information and select the Next button. You should see the Registration Successful screen.

*Please note that an internet connection is required for this registration method.
TopHow to manually license Pivot software.
To manually register the Pivot software follow the instructions in answer above. When the Pivot registration screen appears enter the License Number and Password and select the 'click here' link to get to the manual registration screen.

On the Manual Registration screen you will see two codes. Please email these codes along with the License Number and Password to the email address specified in the dialog below. The two registration keys will be sent in an email response. Enter these codes to finish the registration process.

How to license the Pivot software if the trial version has expired.
If the Pivot trial has expired before you have licensed the software simply execute the wpCtrl.exe file in the C:\Program Files\Portrait Displays\Pivot Software directory. This will bring up the Pivot system tray icon
where you can select the 'Buy Now' option.

Error Code 103 appears after entering License and Password.
The licensing Error Code 103 indicates an attempt to register a different version of Pivot than the originally licensed version. To resolve this issue please use the Support Request form. Make sure that the Pivot software License Number and the version of Pivot that is currently installed are included in your request.
TopError Code 13 or 100 appears after entering License and Password.
The licensing Error Code 13 indicates a failure to connect to the Pivot software registration server. In this instance make sure the system is connected to the internet and try the registration again. If this still fails you can try registering manually as described above.
TopError Code 111 appears after entering License and Password.
Pivot is optimized for desktop PCs installed with Windows® 98SE, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, XP Home, XP Pro and Windows Vista operating systems. Support for notebook PCs is being extended with each new version release of Pivot. To verify compatibility with your notebook PC, update your graphics controller driver to the latest version and download the Pivot trial version before purchasing.
