Portrait Displays Joins Leading LCD Scaler Vendors to Advance VESA Association Display Standards
Scaler Partner Companies Include Genesis Microchip, Novatek Microelectronics Corp., Realtek Semiconductor Corp., and STMicroelectronics.
Pleasanton, California, USA — Portrait Displays, Inc., a global leader in visual enhancement software solutions for computer displays, today announced its Conformance Partner Program, a collaborative effort with leading LCD scaler vendors to establish, promote and advance display standards for LCD products. These include the Monitor Control Command Set (MCCS) standards developed by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), where Portrait Displays is an active member, and proprietary standards developed by Portrait Displays in conjunction with select partners.
Portrait Displays’ LCD scaler Conformance Partners to date include Genesis Microchip, Novatek Microelectronics Corp., Realtek Semiconductor Corp. and STMicroelectronics. Portrait Displays is currently providing its Display Tune® advanced display management software technology to select LCD manufacturers who have adopted certified LCD scaler firmware from a Conformance Partner company. In conjunction with certified firmware, Display Tune provides powerful features for LCD products including On Screen Display (OSD), color calibration, asset management, theft deterrence and Windows zoning/Picture-In-Picture (PIP). Display Tune software technology is available now as a standard feature on leading LCD brands worldwide.
