Calman AutoCal’s automatic calibration feature for LG displays is officially supported on North American LG models. If you are using an LG display that was not purchased or intended for the North American market, AutoCal may not be available for your device.
LG manufactures region-specific display models, and the AutoCal communication protocol is fully validated on hardware and firmware variants distributed in North America. Displays sold in other regions may use different firmware versions or internal configurations that have not been certified for use with Calman’s AutoCal interface.
Determining Regional Compatibility via Model Number
The region of an LG display can be determined by examining the suffix at the end of the model number (the final three characters). The model number can be located on a label on the rear of the display, or via the display’s on-screen settings menu.
The following suffixes indicate a supported North American model:
| Suffix | Example Model |
| AAA | 65QNED90AAA |
| AUA | OLED65C5AUA |
| PUA | OLED65M5PUA |
| PUB | 50UA7700PUB |
| SUB | OLED55G5SUB |
| WUA | OLED65G5WUA |
| ZUA | 50UA7500ZUA |
|
Note: This table does not represent an exhaustive list of all supported suffixes. If your model number suffix is not listed here, contact Portrait Displays support to confirm compatibility before proceeding. |
If your display is determined to be a non-North American model, the following options are available:
- Manual Calibration
- Use Calman’s manual calibration workflow to calibrate your display without AutoCal. This requires adjusting picture settings by hand based on Calman’s measurements and recommendations.
- Compatibility Verification
- Contact Portrait Displays support to confirm whether your specific model has any available AutoCal compatibility prior to attempting calibration.
