Calman Complete Uninstall

Use the following procedure to totally clean a Calman installation from a computer:

Note:
If you are uninstalling Calman with the intent to reinstall onto the same Windows installation, you can skip steps 1 and 4. This will preserve your license data, and you will not have to reactivate Calman

  1. On the Calman (main menu) > Licensing screen, click the Deactivate button. See this article for steps to deactivate
  2. Uninstall Calman in Control Panel / Programs and Features.
  3. Delete Calman directories.
    1. Delete the \Documents\SpectraCal\Calman directory.
      • \Documents\Portrait Displays\Calman for Calman Home and Calman 2020
    2. Delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\SpectraCal\Calman directory, if it exists.
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Portrait Displays\Calman for Calman Home and Calman 2020
    3. Delete the C:\ProgramData\SpectraCal\Calman directory, if it exists.
      • C:\ProgramData\Portrait Displays\Calman for Calman home and Calman 2020
      • To view the Program Data directory, you may need to make hidden folders visible on your computer:
        1. Go to Control Panel / Folder Options / View tab
        2. Under “Hidden files and folders,” select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
  4. Delete Calman Registry folders.
    1. In the Windows Search or Run box (Windows Start), type “regedit.”
    2. In the Registry Editor, delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Portrait Displays, Inc\Calman folder, if it exists.
    3. In the Registry Editor, delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Portrait Displays, Inc\Calman folder, if it exists.
  5. Done. Calman is completely uninstalled.
